As an Artistic Blacksmith I love forging unique items from Damascus steel, especially items that typically aren’t found made from pattern welded steel. This elegant Leaf hairpin is one example of said items. Starting as long bars of 1084 and 15n20 steel Damascus billets are forged in house then sized down to make roughly 3/8” square bar. That square bar can then be forged into Damascus leaves, crosses, etc.
